The Soul’s Delight

The Soul’s Delight is a period instrument chamber ensemble that explores the broad spectrum of music of the 17th and 18thcentury with its various combinations of instruments and voices. The ensemble has performed on the Midtown Concerts, SoHIP and A Little Midday Music series and at various venues throughout Manhattan, including Second Presbyterian Church, Saint Peter’s Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church, and The Church of the Transfiguration. Members have appeared with distinguished ensembles throughout the United States and abroad, including REBEL, Concert Royal, Apollo’s Fire, the Handel and Haydn Society, the American Classical Orchestra, Opera Lafayette, the Classical Music Consort, the Arcadia Players, Juilliard415, the Washington Bach Consort, and Cambridge Concentus. This vibrant group aims to promote historical performance by presenting a fresh yet informed approach to both standard and lesser-known works of early music.
